SENIOR CONNECTIONS GAME NIGHT will be on Tuesday, Feb 21st at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.  If you wish, bring your favorite game and a snack to share.

SUNDAY SCHOOL REMINDER On Sunday, February 26, there will be the regular Sunday School schedule.

ROCKFORD PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING for the First Congregational Church is scheduled for Thursday, Feb 23, at 7:00 pm.  We are being asked by our Christian neighbors to pray for them and, if you can, to come to the meeting and let the Rockford Planning Commission know that we support the First Congregational Church and it’s project.

SENIOR HIGH YOUTH CONFIRMATION CLASS (grades 9-12) Saturday, March 3 from 9:00-3:00 – for youth who want to see what it means to be a part of the Christian faith and what membership in our church is about. Please contact the church office if you are able to attend – we need to know how many to plan on for lunch.  Those who wish to join will do so on Sunday March 11th.

CELEBRATE…REMEMBER…FIGHT BACK On Sunday, Feb 19th and Sunday, Feb 26th after each service we will be in the hallway off the Narthex passing out mini M & M canisters FULL of candy.  Please stop

by and pick one up.  We are asking again this year that you return your canister filled with change/dollars/check to the ‘large’ canister in the Fellowship Hall by March 25th .  Help our RUMC Relay for Life Team as we work toward…‘Celebrating a World with more Birthdays’.

Youth News You Can Use……

Sixth Grade Students to 3 Mile Project On Thursday, Feb 23, leave the church at 5:30pm and get back around 9:30. The 6th grade students have their own night to attend 3 Mile Project. Junior High Students to Pando On Sunday, Feb 26, from 1-4 pm the Junior High students will be tubing at Pando. Senior High Divas Please save the date for March 9-10 for  the Diva by Design Overnight Retreat for the Senior High Girls. 

SUMMER BIBLE CAMPS 2012

The 2012 West Michigan Bible Camp booklets and registration forms are in. Please see the office or Chad Inman for more information. Please hand in all registration forms and $75 deposits in to the office by Sunday May 13, 2012. Grade requirements are based on a student's grade completed as of the spring of 2012. As always there are several camping weeks available for all children and youth ages throughout the summer. Some, but not all, of the camping weeks available are as follows:

Teddy Bear- Aug 5-7; Age 4-2nd Grade - with Adult; Lake Louise Camp Cost is $141 per person

Camp Explorer- July 15-20; Grades 3-6; Lake Michigan Camp.  Cost is $389 for a full week, $199 for mini camp (grades 1-2)

Quest 1-Social Network- July 15-20; Grades 6-8; Lake Michigan Camp Cost is $389

Total Challenge-the Social Network- July 8-13; Grades 9-12; Lake Michigan Camp.  Cost is $389

FAMILY CAMP has been scheduled for July 13-15 at Lake Michigan Camp.  Join us for family camping and fun.  A bonus for families with kids going to Bible camp is they can send their high school age child(ren) the week of July 8 then stay the weekend to pick them up; or if your middle school or elementary age child(ren) will be attending the week of July 15 you can go up early.

RUMC CAMPERS NEED YOUR HELP! The Camp Luncheon and Silent Auction will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2012. All proceeds from this event will go toward underwriting the cost of camp for students. If you would like to donate an item or service for the auction or would like to help with the Luncheon please contact Chad Inman by Sunday, March 4, 2012.

POP CAN AND BOTTLE DRIVE- This is an on-going project. Profits go towards the 2012 ASP Mission work trip. Please bring RINSED pop bottles and cans to the barrel in the Narthex.
