At Rockford United Methodist Church, Holy Communion is "open." It is the Lord's table, not ours, and membership in our church, or any church, is not required to partake. All that is required is a knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Communion consists of bread and grape juice, symbolizing the body and blood of Christ.
